Playgrounds

The Community Council is responsible for 4 play areas in the village. Wynnstay, Pont Adam and Daniel's Drive are owned by Wrexham Council, though Ruabon Community Council pays for the grass cutting, litter picking and safety checks, carried out by WCBC and external examiners. Maes y Llan Play Area is owned by Ruabon Community Council; WCBC carry out safety checks on RCC's behalf.

Maes y Llan Play Area

Maes y Llan Play Area is situated on the Recreation Ground. It can be accessed from Maes y Llan Lane, from High Street or from Park Street. There are a number of pieces of equipment, including a Zip Wire.

There are two sets of swings, one with cradle seats, roundabout suitable for wheelchair access, see-saw, climbing frame and more.

In addition to the Play Area there is a Skate Ramp for the more adventurous.

Wynnstay Play Area

This can be accessed from the main road A539 or from the new houses on the South side of the village and lies alongside the railway line.

Daniel's Drive Play Area

This is accessed from Daniel's Drive, off New Hall Road. It has a slide, swings, a horse and a roundabout and is set on a grass base.

The adjoining open field is ideal for the younger element to play ball games.

Pont Adam Play Area
