Part-time Deputy Clerk (trainee considered for the right candidate)

Chirk Town Council is seeking to appoint a highly efficient, multi-skilled administrator who is looking to challenge themselves in a more senior position for this varied and responsible role of Deputy Town Clerk.

The Deputy Clerk will assist, support and deputise for the Town Clerk in her duties to manage all aspects of the Council's work; including the day-to-day management and operation of Council services as well as the legal, financial and governance responsibilities.

Working with the local community and the 15 Councillors will be just one aspect of the job.

You will need to have relevant experience, knowledge and skills with the ability to provide a consistently high standard of customer service. An eye for detail and accuracy are essential in this role. You must be available to attend the Council meetings which are held in the evenings and occasionally weekend events.
