Budget and Precept
The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Chirk Town Council.
Every year, the Town Council draws up a budget and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are usually finalised at the December Council meeting and then submitted to Wrexham County Borough Council.
Financial Regulations
The Financial Regulations govern the conduct of financial management by the Council.
The Council is responsible in law for ensuring that its financial management is adequate and effective and that the Council has a sound system of internal control which facilitates the effective exercise of the Council's functions, including arrangements for the management of risk
